One of the best under-the-radar releases of the year just received a gorgeous acoustic re-work that you need to hear. I first heard Cash Cash’s “Take Me Home” back in July, and I was immediately taken with singer Bebe Rexha’s soaring vocal performance. What a massive chorus! Now that the electronic bells and whistles of the original track have been stripped away, the heartbreaking vulnerability of Bebe’s voice is truly front and center.
I’ve always been a sucker for vocal dance tracks, so I was really pulling for the fantastic “Take Me Home” to become Cash Cash and Bebe Rexha’s breakout hit. Unfortunately, radio hasn’t quite latched on to the track yet, but I haven’t given up hope. Regardless, I think there’s a bright future ahead for all parties involved.
Cash Cash is an EDM group from New Jersey made up of members Jean Paul Makhlouf, Alexander Makhlouf, Samuel Frisch, and Anthony Villacari. The group just released their new six-track “Overtime” EP at the end of October. Meanwhile, New York based singer Bebe Rexha recently wrote the hook for Eminem and Rihanna’s new single, “The Monster.” Check out the acoustic version of “Take Me Home” below and support these up-and-coming artists by buying their music on iTunes!
